After addressing AFL-CIO delegates at their 2018 convention, Seth Magaziner was endorsed in his re-election campaign for General Treasurer.
In his address, Seth noted the accomplishments of the prior four years in Treasury, saying, “Four years ago, during a time of stagnation and high unemployment, I told you that I believe the Treasurers office can be a real positive force in this state, and can be used to strengthen our economy and help working families all across Rhode Island. Tonight, I am pleased to report that with your help, we have delivered on that promise.”
Acknowledging the work of the various labor unions in the room, Seth celebrated the successes of the plan to rebuild public school buildings, the new programs at the RI Infrastructure Bank, the strong performance and nationally-recognized transparency of the pension system. He said, “We need to continue the progress we have made in this office, and the partnerships we have built. I need you to fight for me so I can keep fighting for you.”
